Most candidates do not bring light to their criticisms but we believe transparency and discourse are important. For Rabeena, feasibility is the most important and we consider everything highlighted by the article. Check them out to learn more about the platforms!

"hi there--curious about what emphasis Rabeena is placing on student wellness including sexual violence support and more accommodations for students struggling with mental health issues" - Anonymous

Rabeena will advocate on behalf of several existing programs as these are issues she's cares deeply about. The only reason they're not included in her platform is because she believes these issues are about values that she holds dear. She did not want to reduce these issues to empty promises as many departments are involved. Something such as SAP was a point she wanted to include, and only decided against it because it was not a clear tangible - not because it isn't something she will advocate for.

"Is rabeena doing anything about the smoke-free policy? And how is she going to address (if it happens) smoking medical marijuana on campus as well. Will that count as well? or will it be only tobacco ban? Is she for or against the smoke-free policy?" - Anonymous

Great question. My stance (Rabeena) on the smoking ban is that it was implemented hastily and without sufficient student consultation. There were many better alternatives for implementing this sort of change on campus, such as implementing it gradually or in phases. I empathize with both perspectives and would like to be able to further explore the effects of the smoking ban and how it can be implemented in a less disruptive and organized manner. In certain cases, I do believe individual cases should be taken into consideration, and that students should be aware that having their case dealt with on a case by case basis is an option.

"how is she planning to achieve the fact that we can earn credits towards our degree by doing wellness classes?" - Anonymous

She's planning on using the same model currently being used by health sciences for wellness courses!
